Define your project

Boat wrap coverage options

Start with the visual goal and the surfaces involved. The final scope is confirmed after reviewing the vessel, substrate, design, and installation site.

Full hull wrap

A complete color change or printed design across the suitable hull area for the most significant visual transformation.

Partial wrap and accents

Stripes, bands, selected panels, transom treatments, and other focused changes with less coverage than a full hull.

Custom printed graphics

Original artwork, fishing graphics, sponsor liveries, names, logos, and branded designs protected by an appropriate laminate.

Fleet and commercial branding

Repeatable artwork, placement standards, production controls, and phased installation for charter or commercial vessels.

Plan the budget

What affects boat wrap cost?

An accurate quote separates design, production, material, preparation, installation, and site logistics. Photographs and a model name are useful, but complex projects may also need a survey.

Boat wrap cost guide

Dimensions and geometry

Length, beam, freeboard, hull shape, chines, recesses, hardware, and access determine usable material and labor—not length alone.

Coverage and design

A solid-color hull, custom printed wrap, partial graphic, and multi-vessel brand package require different design and production work.

Surface readiness

Wax, oxidation, failing coatings, repairs, old adhesive, sealants, and damaged gelcoat may require correction before wrapping.

Material and logistics

Film family, laminate, finish, installation location, workspace, access equipment, travel, and schedule all affect the proposal.

Suitable vessels

Wrap systems for recreational and commercial boats

Center consoles, sportfishing boats, cruisers, yachts, tenders, charter boats, dealership inventory, and commercial fleets can all be candidates. Suitability is determined surface by surface.

Before scheduling

Boat and site readiness

  • Confirm marina or yard permission, working hours, access, power, and staging requirements.
  • Complete fiberglass, gelcoat, paint, corrosion, and body repairs with adequate cure time.
  • Remove wax and identify oxidation, old graphics, adhesive, failing coatings, and contamination.
  • Provide a dry, clean work area protected from weather and airborne debris.
  • Avoid polishing, sanding, painting, or other conflicting work during installation.
  • Assign one person to approve design, placement, finish, scope, and schedule.

Albert, Jenna and their team replaced all of the black wrap on our Galeon 640 this March 2026. Great people to work with! Showed up and completed the job on time. Excellent work. Also replaced our boat name, and created decals for our tender. Great job guys! I would highly recommend them.

Jenna is super knowledgeable about the intake process and different color/ material options. The installation process was quick and came out great on my Seahunt Ultra. They even came back out a few weeks later and repaired a tear caused by the people at my marina!

Boat wrap FAQs

Questions from marina owners and captains.

How long do boat wraps last?

Expand
A boat wrap can perform for years, but service life varies with film selection, installation quality, UV and heat exposure, storage, wash practices, fuel or chemical contact, abrasion, and maintenance. The project specification and care guidance should reflect how the vessel is actually used.

Can a boat be wrapped at a marina?

Expand
Often, yes, when the marina approves the work and the site provides safe access and a clean, dry environment protected from wind, rain, dust, and conflicting trades. Some vessels or scopes may require haul-out, staging, or indoor space.

How should a vinyl boat wrap be cleaned?

Expand
Use soft-contact washing and products approved for the installed film. Avoid abrasive brushes, aggressive compounds, harsh solvents, and careless pressure washing. Inspect edges and high-contact areas regularly and address damage early.

Is a boat wrap an alternative to marine paint?

Expand
It can be for suitable surfaces. Wraps provide color and graphic flexibility with a different preparation, installation, maintenance, and removal profile than paint. Substrate condition, desired service life, finish expectations, and vessel use should guide the choice.

Can every boat surface be wrapped?

Expand
No. Suitability depends on substrate stability, coating condition, texture, curvature, heat, moisture, traffic, chemicals, hardware, and safe access. Non-skid, submerged, damaged, contaminated, or unstable surfaces require specific technical review and may be excluded.

What is needed for an accurate boat wrap quote?

Expand
Provide the boat make and model, year, length and beam, clear photos, current location, target surfaces, desired color or graphics, surface condition, preferred completion date, and marina or yard information.
