Working around hardware#
Transoms are busy. They may have:

Instead of a single graphic, some owners wrap the entire transom in a color or pattern. This can complement or contrast with the hull.
Durability#
Transoms take spray, exhaust, and contact with swimmers and gear. Avoid placing graphics where exhaust can stain them. Choose durable film with overlaminate for printed designs.
Changing names#
