A week before#
- Confirm the date, time, and location with your installer
- Check access arrangements with your marina or yard
- Arrange any haul-out if needed
- Confirm power and water availability
- Ask about any prep the installer wants you to do
A few days before#
- Wash the boat with plain soap, avoiding wax or polish products
- Don't apply sealants, protectants, or "wash and wax" soaps
- Remove loose items from decks and cockpit
- Take down canvas and enclosures that block access
Wax and polish residues can stop the film from bonding. If you're unsure about a product, skip it.
The day before#
- Remove personal items from lockers near work areas
- Leave keys or access codes as agreed
- Note any damage you're aware of and share it
- Take photos of the boat for your records
On the day#
- Be available by phone in case of questions
- Let the crew work without interruption
- Keep pets and guests away from the work area
- Ask how long the boat should stay out of use

Should I remove electronics or canvas?#
Remove canvas and anything that blocks access to the areas being wrapped. Electronics usually stay in place unless they're in the way, but ask your installer.
Can I wax the boat before the wrap to protect it?#
